Brief overview of the role:

We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious warehouse apprentice to work within a small, fast-paced luxury confectionery brand. You will need accuracy and attention to detail to complete various warehouse tasks including picking / packing and stock control.

Apprenticeship summary

Working week: You will normally be expected to work 30 hours per week, £4.15 per hour. Normally this will between Mon to Fri 0900-1700 however a level of flexibility is required to meet business needs.

Total hours per week: 30.00

Incentives: Staff discount across all products is available.

Vacancy description

Key Tasks:

  • Demonstrate care and attention to handle stock and assets throughout the whole supply chain process
  • Manual handling of up to 20kg.
  • Develop knowledge of company products, suppliers & customers.
  • Maintaining traceability of all products from raw material to finished goods.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual stock checks and audits.
  • Assist with packing confectionery. Due to handling food a high level of personal hygiene is required and no piercings, false or painted nails, false lashes or excessive make-up is allowed.
  • Able to steadily increase productivity levels to meet company targets, whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop knowledge and work in accordance with company quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, assisting with cleaning schedules to achieve this.
  • Ensure effective communication across the business.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills:

  • The ideal applicant will have strong computer & arithmetic skills, be a good communicator and work well within a small team.
  • Can demonstrate a logical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with all staff.
  • Able to listen, understand and carry out instruction.

Personal qualities:

  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a small team
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Must have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi- task
  • An open mind to further training and development
  • Want to be part of

Desired qualifications: 

  • Good arithmetic skills, addition & multiplication are a must
  • Solid IT skills.
