    We offer wraparound childcare meeting every parent and carers needs before and afterschool/nursery, teacher training days/snow days and all school holidays for 3-14 years in the Derby and Derbyshire area.

    Vacancy description

    Brief description of responsibilities

    • This will involve entertaining, planning and providing engaging play opportunities in a safe environment for children in an out of school club
    • During term time candidates will care for children before school and after school and will also be required to safely escort children to and from school either by driving one of our vehicles or walking
    • During school holidays and inset days Out of School Practitioners will deliver a varied program throughout the day, joining in and leading activities including cooking, craft, sport and science experiments. Some children also are taken out on outings to local amusement facilities during school holidays

    Applicants must be confident, willing to learn, energetic and passionate about delivering high quality childcare. Applicants must have the ability to develop excellent relationships and have good communication with the children they will care for, parents, outside professionals and be able to work as part of a team, problem solving, sharing and developing new ideas.

    The position may predominantly based at one setting based in Allestree, however the candidate will be expected to be able to work at either of our breakfast and after school club sites based in Allestree and Kilburn. Please do not apply if you are unable to work at both settings. Candidates will join together during School holidays to work with a bigger team at the holiday club which is based in Darley Abbey.

    Due to early starts and split shifts this position is not suited to candidates that live outside Derby.
