    Brief description of responsibilities

    Duties to include:

    • To include play and learning opportunities for children to enjoy and develop their skills in the seven Areas of Learning and Development
    • To treat each child as an individual and to ensure those needs are met
    • To regularly communicate and work in partnership with Parents/Guardians
    • To work to all the Nursery Policies, including Keeping Children Safe, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection and Confidentiality
    • To fully support the Nursery Management, Room Leaders and Nursery Practitioners in the daily activities of the nursery by promoting a safe, stimulating and child centred environment both
      indoor and outdoor
    • To ensure all children are involved and enjoying a range of learning opportunities at the appropriate level to enable them to achieve within the Early Years Foundation Stage
    • To offer all children equal opportunities with regard to religion, race, gender, disability, culture and language and to challenge situations where discrimination is taking place. Also to ensure
      that children are made aware of differing abilities, beliefs and cultures
    • To complete observations and assessments on the children in your care under the supervision of your mentor
    • To promote inclusion of children with Special Educational Needs and report any concerns to the
    • Room Leader or Management
    • To celebrate achievements of each individual child
    • To ensure children’s personal needs are attended to
    • To complete and update documentation and records accurately and regularly as required
    • To complete the induction programme booklet under the supervision of your mentor
