    Harlequin Nursery & Pre-School (established 1992), is located overlooking the sea near Peasholm Parkin Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK.

    Harlequin Nursery & Pre-School is for children from 3 months to 5 years. We are open for 50 weeks of the year, from Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:45, except for Bank Holidays and 2 weeks for Christmas.

    Harlequin Nursery & Pre-School provides a stimulating and happy environment with high quality care and education. As the children grow they mix and play together supporting the development of their physical and social skills. Using everyday opportunities and varied play experiences we encourage each child to develop at an individual pace to reach their own potential.

    Brief description of responsibilities

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Making sure all children are safe and treated equally
    • Be involved in activities
    • Work with parents/carers/families as well to help encourage children
    • To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained always
    • To effectively deliver the EYFS, ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members)
    • To be aware of and support the implementation of Special Educational Needs and Disability policies and procedures and role they play in implementing these within the setting
    • To assist the children in their personal care needs and hygiene throughout the day, including toileting, change and clean children when appropriate
    • Ensure that all equipment is stored correctly and is safe, clean, and appropriate for use
