Eden is the best company I have worked for throughout my career, not many Managing Directors make the office a cup of tea.
I have found Eden to be a very family orientated company, and the team is very friendly and welcoming.
The one thing Eden is excellent at is embracing change, every move is seamless and people don’t appreciate the hard work that the senior management team put in behind the scenes.
Lorna and Scott G have supported me unbelievably throughout this last year both professionally and personally and I will remain extremely grateful to them for helping me develop and enhance my career.
The above points are why I am proud to be team Eden.
We are a growing company who go out of our way to help every employer and learner that we deal with. We do this by making sure we give it our all and give them the best service that we can.
All the staff are friendly and work together as a team.
We are very professional and never leave anyone waiting whether it is emailing back, calling back or even meeting someone face to face, we always respond to them as quick as we can.

Eden Training is extremely adaptable to ever changing rules and sometimes challenges and although growing is aware of the customer base – both employers and learners and take this into account when moulding and evolving.
This, I believe, puts us above the rest of our competitors as we put customers first and adapt to their needs as well as our own. We listen to what they may benefit from and incorporate as much as we can – without compromising our integrity.
Each and every member of staff from the top to the bottom are willing to do their best not just for Eden but for their learners and employers – often over and above because we care what happens to relationship with customers. Although we all have a job to do and targets to meet we also believe in the product we are delivering – whether it be sales or achievers.
Quite simply we do what it says on the tin.
Eden training always put their learners 1st with any additional help and support they may need.
All the staff including the MD are always approachable and helpful.
My idea for ‘Why Eden’ is that we really tailor the courses and make them relevant to the individual business. We’re also good at helping the learners understand how criteria are relevant to their specific job roles. Standards are often written very academically and can be daunting for learners and I feel we are really good putting them in laymen’s terms making it easier for them to understand and learn.
Our progression rate is also a good indicator of the rapport we have with both learners and businesses.
I think what differentiates us from other providers is our commitment to the learner, we see them as an individual as oppose to a number on stats.
Also our Learning Consultants are all extremely knowledgeable in their specialised areas.
I believe Eden are a family, in a way that everybody seems to look out for one another.
I know Eden put in 110% effort into everything.
I also believe that Eden is a brilliant work place and I can definitely see Eden going much further in the future.
All staff seem to really care about the business and learners, it’s more than a job for some and they really care about what happens with their learners.

Equality of opportunity for staff, learners & employers.
Nothing is too much trouble, always the best customer service & attention can be expected from Eden.
- We care about our learners
- Learning Consultants have a varied experience – Childcare Sector specifically (Children’s Centres, Nursery Managers, Local Authority Officer, Ofsted Inspector)
Because we care…not just about our numbers and profits but about the learners experience, we care that they are on the right qualification for the role they are in, we care about them progressing, we care that they get the most out of their learning programme and they feel good about it and enjoy what they are learning. Like any customer if you keep them happy they will always come back for more.
I think what makes us different from any other training provider, is that we are still small enough to care, but large enough to deliver.
- Eden staff go the extra mile to help and support the learner
- Knowledgeable and competent staff who have been there and done it
- Have a flexible approach
- Differentiated learning to meet individual needs
- Understanding the employers needs and requirements
- Friendly staff – family approach
I think the staff here are “real” people. They are genuinely friendly and supportive. I think this shines through during visits with learners.
There’s a lot of experience. Everyone just gets on with things. Nothing is a drama and nothing is unachievable.
Eden knows the local area.
Eden knows its strengths.
I think Eden is different because of the ongoing support Learning Consultants offer to learners for both the qualification and their own job roles. I have had feedback from people in placements who have done qualifications with other providers stating how they are just there to get the job done, where as we at Eden seem to want to build a rapport with the learner and don’t just treat them as a number.
Although my knowledge of other training providers is limited due to Eden being the only company I have ever worked for, my review will be mainly focused on ‘Why Eden’.
Eden is the only company I have ever worked for since the age of 16 where I have progressed through my business admin apprenticeship to become a fully qualified Learning Consultant. From this it is clear to see opportunities to progress are always available. Eden has given me these opportunities where I have realised so many things about myself, I am able to work to my full potential at all times and show my determination. Working hard doesn’t go unrecognised, which continuously strives me to work even harder. My experience here continues to be supported and guided by management and colleagues. The departments I have worked in include highly experienced, intelligent, punctual employee’s where I have gained experience within a working environment and the industry. Eden’s relaxed atmosphere portrays a level of respect and understanding between each line of communication which I feel benefits me the most for development.
In 2016 I was given the opportunity to become a Learning Consultant where I have extended my knowledge greatly. I am currently learning about my passion for sport, fitness, Maths, English and technology which assists me further in developing my personal performance. I feel I am continuously progressing my knowledge though these aspects, understanding of the business and the industry. This gives me a feeling of pride and passion of Eden and the current qualifications I deliver. My next journey will be completing my Team Leading qualification which I am enthusiastic about as Management/owner of a business is one of my ultimate major career goals.
In terms of the “Why Eden” question, I think from my point of view, and I’m sure others have probably said something similar, it has to be the personal touch that our learners get with us that they wouldn’t get at other providers. I try to do this with all my learners anyway but I think the biggest example of what I mean by this is the way in which it links in with all the things that learners should expect from us. That has been demonstrated recently to my learners in terms of the quality standards that we have at Eden. As was explained at the recent company away day, this is something the learners should be given as standard but the fact that yourself, as MD of Eden came out to observe me for the OTLA (Observation of Teaching and Learning) the other month, really showed the learner’s that right from the top we are committed to doing the very best we can to improve our service. Chatting to them afterwards this had a really good impression on them and shows them that they could have a chat with yourself or anyone at Eden from senior management right the way through.
Also then a few weeks later they saw the follow up from that with Grant, one of the Performance Managers, coming along to make sure the things you had picked up on in the OTLA were then being implemented. Again, I spoke with the manager of the setting and explained why the MD and Grant had been out and she was just really impressed that we take the quality side of things so seriously, but also that owners, quality managers and line managers are all out working towards that.
As mentioned, I think quality and such should come as standard but I have worked at places where it’s more of a token gesture than anything. Maybe the odd meeting discussing things or the odd observation every 12 months without any follow up so I do make sure I explain this to learners so they know that they are getting something unique from us.
Eden is the first training provider that I have worked for so I can’t compare with any previous companies as an employee but reflecting back to when I was a learner and visited by various assessors, from other training providers, I don’t feel I had as much of a voice like we encourage our learners to have and I also feel the visits and contact were very limited. When talking to other Learning Consultants, many within their first few weeks, comment on the support they receive from their Performance Managers with regard to 121’s and KIT (Keep In Touch) days and also the quality improvement led by John, Head of Quality . I was sat with a colleague yesterday and they commented on how much they had learnt in just one morning on the away day compared to their whole employment with their previous employer.
