Driving Goods Vehicles

The Driving Goods Vehicle level 2 NVQ is designed to provide those who already work as a goods vehicle driver (or those working towards their license).

The award has been designed in partnership with the Goods Vehicle industry and allows candidates to demonstrate competence in:

• Pre driving checks and monitoring the loading of goods
• Driving skills whilst driving a goods vehicle that is laden with their typical load
• Driving safely with acceptable wear and tear on the vehicle
• Unloading goods vehicles, coupling and uncoupling vehicles

Our model of delivery incorporates a selected CPC training module of Driver CPC towards the 35 mandatory hours.

Our assessors will observe drivers against the national standards making judgements and feeding back on performance. Our model of delivery incorporates selected units of Driver CPC towards the 35 mandatory hours.
