How is the Training Funded?
The apprenticeship that your staff are undertaking is fully funded by the SFA (Skills Funding Agency). The SFA is a partner organisation of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and their job is to fund and regulate adult further education and skills training in England. Their mission is to ensure that people and business can access the skills training they need to succeed in playing their part in society and in growing England’s economy. They do this in the context of policy set by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and informed by the needs of businesses, communities and sector and industry bodies.
The SFA invest £4 billion per year of public spending in colleges and training organisations, to fund training for adults in England. The skills training they fund enables people to do their jobs better, get new jobs, or progress in their careers.
Roles and Responsibilities
Eden Training Solutions offers the Learner and Employer advice and guidance throughout the duration of the programme: this section provides more details of the support offered.
Each Learner is assigned a personal Learning Consultant; visits will be arranged, as a minimum every 4 weeks. Evidence can be gathered electronically and visits can be conducted remotely over the telephone or by email. If required additional visits will be organised by the support team.
Information Advice & Guidance
The Learner’s induction will be conducted by one of our Learning Consultants. It’s their job to welcome the Learner on board with the minimum fuss for both the Learner and your company. The Learning Consultant can guide the Learner and yourself through any necessary paperwork and answer any questions you may have.
The Mentor is a member of your organisation assigned to support the Learner. They may be the Learner’s line manger, supervisor or other colleague who will be able to answer questions, provide witness statements, be involved in guided discussions with the Learning Consultant and provide access to product evidence.
